Dirt devils

While the afternoons remain hot enough to fry an egg on your windshield, the CR got an early start on site and decided to shovel dried clay all day. We dug up clay with CR board member, Michelle Wiley which we’ll later use for earth plaster inside the house and adobe bricks. We took turns loading and unloading and loading and then, again, unloading the clay while simultaneously stabilizing the shade structure, finishing our building site sign, making saw horses and a clay sifter contraption. We are now ready for our foundation to be poured early tomorrow morning!

After a short trip out of town, the team welcomes back Jason. We almost died without him.

Foundation ready for concrete first thing tomorrow morning.

Is that pile of clay fairly enormous or is Lisa fairly teensy? Both.

Post hole diggers are magic.
